OneDrive Tips and Tricks
Welcome to OneDrive. OneDrive is Microsoft’s cloud storage service that allows you to securely store all of your important files in one location and access them virtually from wherever you are or
from whatever device. Think of OneDrive as a computer hard drive that you store all of your files to, except it’s on the internet and offers several useful features.

Other tips
- It is not a good idea to store active Outlook pst (archives) files in OneDrive. By active, we mean it is open in Outlook so that you can still search data on it.
These files are kept permanently opened while you have Outlook opened, and usually they are huge files.
If you try to sync it, it will never finish, as the file will be locked by Outlook. If you need help moving it somewhere else, please open a ticket in our Self Service Portal.
- The Documents, Desktop and Pictures folders that reside on your c:\ drive are now automatically backed up to OneDrive.
