AOConnect Full VPN Connection Issue with Google Chrome/MS Edge after Version 98 Update

Symptoms or Error
- Citrix Gateway Plugin not detected when launching Full VPN. AOConnect wants to Install or Repair the Gateway Plugin.
- Issue will persist after a computer restart.
- Issue occurs in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge
- Issue occurs accessing https://vpn.aoc-resins.com URL or https://vpn2.aoc-resins.com URL
Cause of Issue
- Google Chrome updated to version 98. This update affects Microsoft Edge as well.
Recommended Fix for Windows Devices:
- Apply Windows registry hotfix for Google Chrome.
NOTE: This hotfix does not resolve the connection issue for Microsoft Edge.
- Click Here to Download HOTFIX
- Double Click on the VPNfix File
- Click on Yes to add the fix.
- Click OK to complete registry entry for fix.
- Reboot your computer to finalize the registry fix.
- Test by reconnecting to AOConnect from Google Chrome.

Fix for MacOS:
- NOTE: Fix not supported by AOC IT. Details provided for employees who use VPN use on personal Apple computers.
- Add the exception to com.google.Chrome.plist file.
- Here are the steps to do from command line.
- Take a backup of the file (~/Library/Preferences/com.google.Chrome.plist)
- Close all Google Chrome windows and quit the app.
- Open Terminal.
- Type the below commands :
defaults write com.google.Chrome InsecurePrivateNetworkRequestsAllowedForUrls -array https://vpn.aoc-resins.com;
defaults read ~/Library/Preferences/com.google.Chrome.plist
- Reopen Chrome and try to with Safari or Firefox browsers
